How to make a bootable USB thumb/pen flash drive for iso image?
[i=s] 本帖最後由 角色 於 2010-7-7 13:05 編輯 [/i]因为现在很多系统都没有CDROM或者Floppy Disk，所以坊间有些方法是可以利用USB thumb/pen flash来做启动盘，我们把iso的image放入thumb drive里，然后用thumb drive做启动盘。但是做USB Bootable Disk真的不是简单的事！它比做Bootable CDROM from iso image 更加麻烦。
在USB里分 USB-Floppy，USB-CDROM，USB-HDD，USB-ZIP，但是每一种不是每一种mainboard都能support，就算mainboard说能support，可能USB的hardware又不能support，所以难度非常高。如果大家在这方面有认识，希望能指点一下。

簡單D買部USB外置光碟機或者用易驅線/5.25寸光碟盒將自己部內置燒碟機變為外置仲好啦! 用GRUB 做USB boot. 不過ISO 如果太大的話，boot 機有可能唔得。 另外手指用2G，因為速度快D。 [quote]回復 角色

这个也是一个好的方法，但是如果Software Version多，我们要烧很多的碟。现在我也制造了一张AsteriskNOW 1.7的光盘。如果其他方法不成功我也没有办法，只好用最基本的方式了。

I just follow what has been described in the page. Finally I got the reason why my USB flash drive (Kingston 8G) does not boot even I followed the exact procedures as you did. The problem comes from Kingston 8G flash drive since the programme does not recongized it because of imcompatibility of LBA of the flash drive. Different flash drive may differenet LBA structure after being formatted.
A Chinese man named "bean" has developed a very clever program "fbinst" such that it can adjust some software parameters for different flash drive LBA such that the data stored in the flash drive can be read without giving further error.
