【RouterOS】—— Cautions on Static IP Internet Connection
If we use Quick Set to connect the RB to the internet, there are three modes, namely DHCP client, PPPoE, Static IP. In the following paragraphs, we shall concentration on Static IP connection.If you choose the Static IP to connect Internet, the following items that you have to pay attention:
1) Set the static ip address, set the network information, set the gateway
2) Set the DNS (do not expect the previous stage of router to give you the DNS servers automatically)
3) Also set the DNS server in the DHCP server section if this function is used in LAN part of your router
