Don't underestimate the power consumption for OLD harddisk and PSU.
In my case, this two add at least 6~7W more to the total power consumption.
1. Old setting: 10G WD HDD, 300W PSU. Result: 27W.
2. Current setting: 4G CF card, embedded 12V power supply. Result: 16W.
It acts as asterisk server and firewall only.

If you don't use telephony card in your server, I assume that you are using ATA for outgoing and Incoming PSTN.  In this case, the power consumption of ATA have to be taked into account.   16W is very good.

You are right.

ATA SHOULD be counted but no in my case. It should be SPA 3102 in the near future.

    I think it is the embedded psu that helps
    a small matx psu cost 5-7W for only plugin  (my cosair 80+ 400W cost 8-9W )

我的配置是  atcom n230主板  20G 笔记本硬盘  1G内存 一张AX400P母板（上面有两块FXO and 两块FXS）  如果用电子硬盘 我谂应该用电更加低
