my ways toward IP-PBX

I  limit myself to use sip trunk with no PSTN analog connection.

Requirement:
1. asterisk or other ippbx software
- I use a linux server and installed asterisk 1.8.7
2. voip provider either sip or iax. I limit to these two as I do not test any H323
- hkbn 2b, iptel, localphone, gtalk/GV, etc
3. router to configure for incoming and outgoing calls
- any can do but you need to open ports like UDP 5060, UDP 4569, UDP 10000-12000
4. internal network for voip client connection
- your own client or preferences; I prefer zoiper
5. mobile client
- mobile phone such as Nokia E67 or 71, iphone, Android

To be continued

I use my ATOM linux server as an example and create a VM image. I install Centos 6 and Asterisk 1.8.7 as described in my thread here

http://www.telecom-cafe.com/foru ... &extra=page%3D1

Since VM machine is used, I do not have any physical hardware to connect to an analogy telephone card such as TDM400 or any hardware FXO port such as USB FXO.

At most I can connect remotely with my SPA3000 and OBi110

I can also connect to my siptosis machines to use skype to dial out.

With the exception of gtalk (something wrong in the last few days), everything works in my pure ip-pbx.
