In the past few days, I have tried various ways to get myself connected in the hotel via wifi.
Skype seems so far to be the best option and quality so far. Easy to connect. Less battery drain then Obion
I am thinking of different ways to get connected from my family and friends
e.g. how to get a HK number to connect to skype
how to get an overseas number to connect to skype
how to use skype to dial to remote site e.g. voip endpoint, pstn and of course the simplest another skype user.
There are some free services for incoming DID to skype but not available for HK DID except you buy skypeIN
There is a way to get free outcoming call to US (30 min a day) via skype to skype connection
My siptosis trunk does work but internet connection is a hurdle.
e.g. on one day, skype in US -> skype in HK -> siptosis -> asterisk in HK -> voip endpoint in UK = excellent quality
on another day, it was very poor in quality
The same has been seen in using pure asterisk voip calls.
Now I can make use of different combinations to ensure I can reach or more precisely can be connected |
