昨天手癢癢，做了一次 yum update，

uname -r 發覺已由 2.6.18-194.17.1.l5 升了 上 2.6.18-194.17.4.l5

之後問題發生了，boot 機後竟然認唔到張 ATCOM Telephony Card，仲出現以下情況:
  1. FATAL: Module dahdi not found.
  2. wct4xxp: FATAL: Module wct4xxp not found.
  3. [FAILED]
  4. wcte12xp: FATAL: Module wcte12xp not found.
  5. [FAILED]
  6. wct1xxp: FATAL: Module wct1xxp not found.

  11. [FAILED]
  12. opvxa1200: FATAL: Module opvxa1200 not found.

  14. wcfxo: FATAL: Module wcfxo not found.
  15. [FAILED]
  16. wctdm: FATAL: Module wctdm not found.
  17. [FAILED]
  18. wcb4xxp: FATAL: Module wcb4xxp not found.

最初不知問題係邊度，攪咗成日，上網又找不出問題解決。最後想著不如用返舊版本試一試係唔係自己張卡壞了，好彩!  終於可以認得到張卡。

開始對它有小小信心動搖，未攪好基本野就亂放出街。

1.4 及 1.6 都有同樣情況。

You might digg into the source code for answer. Otherwise, wait-and-see would be the best strategy for laaaaaazy users. The same strategy has been applied to windows' update for a long time.

Opens source, as named and emphasized in its term of use, has no warranty for the software. The Asterisk 1.8 has been tested against testers' hardware(ofcoz, only digium's hardware). The other hardwares might be solved in future by patches(from Atcom?).

Maybe SPA3102 is the best card with 1 FXO + 1FXS.

The same for asterisk 1.8, not really useful to run now if you install via rpm method.

Thanks for both Qnewbie and ckleea advice.  

My update was made on Asterisk 1.4 which should be regarded as a very mature and stable version.  I am just surprised that how could such basic detection feature for Dahdi is still in fault even it is named an open source ware   ,especially Dahdi was not new and introduced yesterday!

Totally agree that SPA3102 is the best up to this moment so that why I bought 2 for emergency use last years.

You have two SPA3102!. I have two SPA3000 but one is not of good quality.

There were no more SPA3000 sold in Hong Kong last year.  Also, many SPA3000 from Taobao were reported problem in certain degrees.  Hence, I'd rather buy here in Hong Kong at a relative higher price with better quality and fuctions.   If given another chance, SPA3102 is still my only choice.

Good choice!  How much do you get this from Yahoo?  Why don't you buy from Hong Kong?  I asked the price in a shop in Sham Shui Po last week.  It was just about HK$580 but not remember clearly.

Unfortunately, I believe some are from China. I brought both at around HK$200 for more than 1 to 1.5 years ago. But both can come with a UK plug and relatively stable. Only one has sound quality issues and I do not have much time to check and adjust the parameters.

How frequent does your SPA3102 reboot?

Yes, when I met 角色兄 in Sham Shui Po last week, we saw SPA3102 being sold in Golden and we asked them the price as well.
