4. Obtain the Skype for Linux (static) skype_static-2.1.0.81.tar.bz2 from the web.

5. Untar the file

1. tar xjvf skype_static-2.1.0.81.tar.bz2

2. ln -s /usr/src/skype /usr/share/skype
   
3. ln -s /usr/src/skype/skype /usr/bin/skype
